Flip Willson
Director/Producer
Willson began his producing career in 2002, on the set of His cousins Documentary The Rebirth. He then went on to produce his own Documentary in 2003 titled Unsigned 1 that showcased the life of an independent rap artist. Willson is best known for producing the urban hit Live from Da Block. After its successful release, he was named on two local news stations in Detroit as one of the top filmmakers in the metro area. Willson would go on to produce 8 more documentaries after Live from da Block. Unsigned 2 in 2004, Live from da Block 2 in 2005, Above the Line & Indicted in 2006, This is Why Where Hot in 2007, Unsigned 3, Prison Confession in 2008, and Sonny the Gangster in 2009. Most recently Willson has worked on Two Music Videos as a co-director :Bake up Boyz, with Jim Jones, “Now I can do that”, and Trick-Tricks “Let’s Work” which both aired on MTV.
